They reached 100 runs in just 16.4 overs, making it their fastest team hundred in the first innings of a Test match in the 21st century.

Despite losing Imam UL Haq early in the innings, Abdullah Shafique and Shan Masood continued to attack and maintained a run rate above six.

Abdullah Shafique reached his fifty in a mere 49 balls, while Shan Masood also scored at a strike rate of over 100 and completed his fifty in just 44 balls. The duo formed a brilliant partnership, completing their century together in just 103 balls, marking their first-century partnership in Test cricket.
