Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made a direct accusation against former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Saqib Nisar. PM said that he was the primary mastermind behind the disqualification of PML-N supremo, Nawaz Sharif.
During the inauguration of a link road to Motorway-III near Faisalabad, PM Shehbaz stated that Saqib Nisar, along with other conspirators, conspired to ensure Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification.
In a separate interview with a private TV channel, the Prime Minister reiterated his stance. He mentioned that those responsible for attacks on military installations would face trials in military courts. The PML-N has long criticized the former Chief Justice for his alleged role in Nawaz Sharif’s disqualification.
He made a significant announcement, stating that if the PML-N wins the forthcoming elections, Nawaz Sharif will be their candidate for the prime ministerial position.
The Prime Minister pledged that if his party is granted a five-year mandate, they would bring about a transformative change in Pakistan’s fate. The party would propel the nation towards development and prosperity. Despite this, he emphasized that his party would show respect for the government elected by the people’s votes.
PM Shehbaz recalled the challenges his party faced. He specifically mentioned how PML-N members were forcefully relocated to Banigala overnight via a special plane. He also mentioned that obstacles were created during the formation of PML-N’s government in Punjab.
Besides this, he expressed disappointment with PTI Chairman Imran Khan. Shehbaz Sharif accused him of spending four years perpetuating the “thief and robber” narrative instead of focusing on constructive work for the country.
PM Shehbaz also alleged that Imran Khan conspired to withdraw from the IMF agreement, creating problems for the incoming government.
