Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and around the world, are observing Accession to Pakistan Day today. They have renewed their commitment to continue the struggle for the liberation of Jammu and Kashmir from Indian occupation and its complete integration with Pakistan.
On this day in 1947, the genuine representatives of Kashmiris gathered at the residence of Sardar Muhammad Ibrahim Khan in Srinagar for a meeting of the AllโJammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference.
During this significant meeting, they unanimously passed a resolution endorsing Kashmir’s accession to Pakistan. The resolution was based on the religious, geographical, cultural, and economic proximity of Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan. It also portrays the aspirations of the millions of Kashmiri Muslims.
The Kashmiri leadership views the 19th of July as a pivotal moment in the history of Kashmir. They have reiterated their determination to carry forward the struggle for freedom. They have drawn inspiration from the historical resolution passed by the AllโJammu and Kashmir Muslim Conference in Srinagar on in 1947.
