TOKYO: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister stressed the significance of strengthening ties between Pakistan and Japan and highlighted the areas of cooperation.

The Foreign Minister expressed his gratitude to the Japanese government for the warm reception and hospitality extended to him during the visit.
During a joint press conference with his Japanese counterpart, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed his keenness to strengthen the economic and strategic cooperation between the two countries and emphasized the mutual benefits of their bilateral relations.
On his first official visit to Japan, Bilawal highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between the two states. Besides acknowledging the existing friendly relations, he conveyed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding further the cooperation in multiple domains such as economic, political, and trade.
The foreign minister stated, “Throughout the years, Pakistan and Japan have maintained strong relations, and I am delighted to be here to explore avenues for enhanced collaboration. We aim to bolster our economic and strategic partnership, promote increased investment, and broaden cooperation across various sectors with Tokyo.”
One of the key aspects of the press conference was the focus on the opportunities for Pakistan to provide skilled manpower to Japan to enhance employment opportunities. The Foreign Minister communicated the role of skilled manpower in improving the relationship between Japan and Pakistan.
The minister emphasized the abundance of highly talented individuals in Pakistan. He also conveyed his optimistic outlook for strengthened collaboration, particularly in sectors where Japan needs a skilled workforce. He expressed his hope that such cooperation would provide employment opportunities for Pakistani professionals. It would also address Japan’s workforce requirements, fostering a mutually beneficial partnership between the two nations.
