Showbiz star Mansha Pasha slams Indian superstar Naseeruddin Shah about his remarks for Sindhi language in Pakistan
ISLAMABAD: Mansha Pasha, a renowned Pakistani showbiz star slammed Indian superstar actor Naseeruddin Shah for his baseless assertions about Sindhi language in Pakistan.
In a recent interview, Bollywood star Naseeruddin Shah claimed that the Sindhi language was no longer spoken in Pakistan.
Shah said, โThey [Pakistan] have Balochi, they have Bari, they have Siraiki and they have Pushto. Sindhi is, of course, no longer spoken in Pakistan.”
Mansha Pasha disagreed with Naseeruddin Shah as she was a Sindhi-speaking Pakistani.
“As a proud Sindhi who speaks the language within her household, I beg to differ,” She wrote on Twitter. Mansha Pasha is a renowned TV artist in Pakistan. She is wife of lawyer and human rights activist Jibran Nasir.
Naseeruddin Shah in trouble
Meanwhile, Indian showbiz superstar Naseeruddin Shah found himself in trouble over his remarks about the Sindhi language in Pakistan.

Indian actor claimed that the Sindhi language is not spoken in Pakistan anymore.
In a recent interview, Shah claimed, โThey [Pakistan] have Balochi, they have Bari, they have Siraiki and they have Pushto. Sindhi is, of course, no longer spoken in Pakistan.โ
However, his remarks about Sindhi did not sit well with Pakistanis because Sindhi is one of the widely spoken languages in Pakistan.
The Population of Sindh province is more than 55 million and millions of Sindhis speak their mother language _ Sindhi. It is believed that more or less 50 percent of people in Sindh speak their mother language. Their number could be more than 20 million, if not more.
Several social media users and influencers felt annoyed at Naseeruddin Shah for being ignorant of Sindhi including Pakistani actress Mansha Pasha.
