Netflix has released the first teaser for Operation Varsity Blues, a documentary that scrutinizes the 2019 college admissions scandal and the man at its center, Rick Singer.
Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin were amongst the 50 people summoned in the nationwide college admissions scandal, nearly two years ago. The scandal brought a wave of criticism over celebrities taking advantage of the already broken education system.
On Monday, the streaming service announced that the documentary, “Operation Varsity Blues” will “take a deeper look” at Rick Singer, “the man at the center of the scheme”.
The movie “Fyre” directors Chris Smith and Jon Karmen, who has also worked for the same film, will be releasing a movie on the topic on Netflix on March 17.
Netflix announced that Operation Varsity Blues will include interviews and “narrative recreations of the FBI’s wiretapped conversations” between Singer and his clients.
This week the streaming giant released the trailer of the documentary promising fans of providing an eye-opening reality of the situation.
“Everything you’ve heard is true. But you haven’t heard everything.”

The film “goes beyond the celebrity-driven headlines and dives into the methods used by Rick Singer, the man at the center of the shocking 2019 college admissions scandal, to persuade his wealthy clients to cheat an educational system already designed to benefit the privileged.”
Netflix further said.
Netflix further affirms that the documentary presents an “innovative combination of interviews and narrative recreations of the FBI’s wiretapped conversations between Singer and his clients.”
The short teaser manifests one of these “real conversations” although, the involved parties are not put a name to.
