WhatsApp will soon allow you to lock individual chats

WhatsApp will soon allow you to lock individual chats with a fingerprint:

Although WhatsApp lacks some features compared to its contemporaries, it provides enough features to enable users to utilize the app according to their preferences and prevent them from missing any crucial information. For individuals who prioritize privacy, the platform permits them to secure the app/chats with their fingerprints or other biometric security measures for added protection.

WhatsApp‘s ability to lock individual chats behind biometrics

Recently, a new security layer has been discovered that WhatsApp is currently developing.

This feature will enable users to lock and conceal individual chats with biometric security, which should be accessible to all since most modern smartphones have some form of biometrics.

Consequently, there will be no need to rely on unreliable third-party apps for an adequate solution.

The screenshot above shows that WhatsApp for Android is introducing a feature that allows users to lock and hide chats behind a fingerprint lock.

This feature is available in version 2.23.8.2. of the app and is not yet available to all users.

The release date for this update is uncertain; however, it is encouraging to see that the company is working on a feature of this caliber.

The new feature can be both controversial and useful, particularly in safeguarding private chats from unauthorized access.

We recommend approaching this feature announcement with caution since WhatsApp may decide to cancel it.

Additionally, Please note that this feature is available in an Android beta version, but it is highly probable that it will be available on iOS as well.
