Zardari, Nawaz have wealth but no respect: Imran

PTI chief Imran Khan ridiculed the heads of PML-N and PPP, stating that Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari possessed only money but no respect.

He added that it is only the Almighty who has the power to ennoble and honour anyone.

Imran Khan addressed party workers at his Zaman Park residence during an iftar dinner and made a note that Nawaz Sharif is “abused every day while sitting in the most expensive area of London” and “cannot come out on the streets.”

Imran Khan further remarked that if wealthy individuals could buy admiration through spending money, then Zardari and Nawaz Sharif would have been more respected.

The British Acting High Commissioner to Pakistan, Andrew Dalgleish, also visited Imran Khan at his residence in Lahore to discuss matters related to bilateral relations and mutual interest.

During the meeting, Imran Khan discussed his party’s vision for strengthening democracy, upholding the rule of law, and ensuring the supremacy of the Constitution.

He drew attention to the ongoing human rights violations in the country and expressed concern about the international community’s stance on this issue.

Imran emphasized:

Supremacy of rule of law was one of the main political agendas of his party.

He maintained that the PTI aimed to strengthen democracy by addressing public issues through voting.

Imran also pointed out that the Constitution of Pakistan determines the timelines for free and fair elections in the country.

However, the incumbent rulers are trying to evade elections by violating human rights, such as the right to dignity and freedom of expression.
