On Monday, the head of National Command Operation Center (NCOC) Asad Umar announced that the government will start inoculating citizens over the age of 65 for coronavirus in March for which the registration process has started today.

Umar turned to Twitter and made the announcement in his Tweet saying,

“Pleased to announce that registration for getting COVID vaccine is now open for all citizens 65 and above.”

He also mentioned the way to register the potential candidates in the tweet.

In the first week of this month Pakistan had started its countrywide vaccination drive with the frontline healthcare workers being the first ones to get the jabs.

After receiving 0.5 million doses of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine from China, Pakistan initiated its vaccination campaign. The doses were later distributed across all the provinces through land and air.
