LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Lahore High Court dropped its demand of VVIP passes, chairman’s box and red car parking stickers for judge and their families who want to watch PSL opening ceremony and matches in Multan.

Assistant Registrar of Protocol of Multan bench of the Lahore High Court sent a letter to the Pakistan Cricket Board, seeking VVIP passes for judges and their family members.

However, when the letter surfaced on the social media and drew ire of the people, the LHC withdrew its demand of VVIP passes.
The social media users have criticised the LHC’s demand of chairman’s box, VVIP passes, stickers and protocol for judges and their family members who were keen to witness the PSL opening ceremony and matches in Multan.
The words, the social media users have used in their Tweets, cannot be repeated here, but the comments show anger of people against the LHC’s request to seek passes and protocol.
Seeing a lot of hue and cry on the social media, especially Twitter platform, the Lahore High Court dropped its demand on Feb 8, 2023.
