PTI declines invitation to attend APC

On Friday, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) declined Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s invitation to the All Parties Conference (APC) on February 7 to tackle the rising danger of terrorism.

Asad Umar, the secretary general of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), declared on Friday that Imran Khan, the party’s leader, will not attend the federal government’s all-parties conference (APC) on February 7.

The PTI leader made his remarks as Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that the PTI leader has been invited to an apex committee meeting in Peshawar.

PM Shehbaz stated during the apex committee meeting in Peshawar, without naming the PTI chief:

“I have also invited the person who does not want to even shake hands with me.”

He further added:

“All parties are invited to APC and Apex committee meetings and I hope that it will not be rejected”.

PM said: “We need to fight the menace of terrorism by setting our differences aside and moving forward.”

The premier reminisced his time as opposition leader in the National Assembly and said:

“Whenever he [Imran Khan] wrote a letter to me, he never wrote my name on it, however, I always responded with my name and my signature on the letter.”

‘How can we sit with them?’ 

Asad Umar, a PTI leader, stated that Imran Khan will not meet with leaders who fabricate false allegations against party leaders.

In a press conference outside Lahore High Court, He stated:

“How can we sit with them [PDM-led government] while cases are being registered against us?”

He Told Media:

“The Constitution is being violated by registering cases of treason against the opponents and all the government resources are devoted to arrests and detentions.”

General Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), and the caretaker chief ministers of all four provinces will also attend the Monday meeting.
