Imran Khan behind most problems in Pakistan: Shahid Khaqan Abbasi

Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), is mostly to blame for the country’s current issues and challenges, according to former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, who also believes Khan hurt the nation during his tenure in office.

According to PML-N leader Abbasi:

The current government is navigating the economic turmoil caused by Imran Khan.

He emphasised that the government has already paid a political price and would have to pay more in the future.

He stated that Pakistan desperately needed stability and urged that Khan consider participating in street rallies if he believed they would help fix existing issues.

In any case, the difficulties confronting the country will not go away anytime soon.

He continued:

And the new administration elected in the next general election will have to deal with them.

Abbasi mocked the PTI leader, suggesting that even a single day in opposition would be too much for him.

According to Abbasi, Khan is allowed to take to the streets to oppose Mohsin Naqvi’s nomination as interim chief minister of Punjab.

He said that Imran was not protesting the suffering of the people.

It is worth noting that Naqvi was picked by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) when the chief minister of Punjab, Parvez Elahi, and the opposition leader, Hamza Shahbaz, could not reach an agreement.

Naqvi was sworn in on January 22, just a few days after the ECP’s decision.

When discussing the PML-N leader’s resignation as prime minister, Abbasi became enraged and claimed that Nawaz Sharif is the first person in Pakistani history whose name has been struck out.

He emphasised, however, that it was up to the Pakistani people to decide who should be recognised in this fashion.

He said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is Pakistan’s only choice.

The country need swift decisions, but Finance Minister and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif are aware of the current situation, he added.
