FAISALABAD/ISLAMABAD: Doctors negligence caused serious complications for a female patient in Faisalabad.
Saba Bibi, a 26-year-old woman underwent a surgery of a tumor at a hospital on Jaranwala Road in Faisalabad.
She has claimed that during surgery, doctors forgot a surgical instrument in her stomach.
When she felt pain and other complications, doctors conducted her ultrasound and noted a surgical instrument in her stomach approximately five centimeters in size.
Saba pointed out that she experienced abdominal pain soon after her surgery. Instead of checking the problem, the staff of the hospital administered high-dose painkillers.
However, when stomach pain continued, her ultrasound was conducted in the hospital that led to the detection of the surgical instruments.
Finally, four months after the surgery, doctors recovered the metal object from the stomach of Saba.
Family of Saba has decided to take a legal action against the hospital management for this serious negligence.
Moreover, Saba also asserted that the private hospital has utilized total amount of her health card credit. Now the hospital was forcing her to get treatment from a government hospital in Faisalabad.
