ECP will announce Senate polls schedule on February 11

On Wednesday, the Election Commission of Pakistan said that it will announce the plan for the upcoming Senate elections on February 11.

The distribution of nomination papers to the prospective candidates has already been started.

ECP Secretariat at the Constitutional Avenue can be reached for the nomination papers for the two seats of the Federal Capital Territory in Islamabad, while nomination papers for provincial seats are available at the offices of the concerned provincial election commissioner.

Furthermore, for this purpose, the candidates are required to set up a special account at any branch of any scheduled bank for their election expenses and mention the account number on their nomination papers.

There is also a limit of election expense for a candidate, set at PKR 1.5 million.

  • Balochistan: Bergenza Villas, Street No 1 near Zarghoon Road in Quetta (081-9203248)

All political parties and candidates are advised by ECP to attach their party tickets while submitting nomination papers. However, the independent candidates cannot attach party tickets.
