PTI MPAs submit resignations to parliamentary leader

Khurrum Sher Zaman, the parliamentary party leader, has received resignation letters from all 26  MPAs of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Inaf in Sindh Assembly.

26 PTI lawmakers in the Sindh Assembly have resigned, according to Zaman, who confirmed receiving their resignations.

On Imran Khan’s instruction, he said, these resignations would be presented to the speaker of the Sindh Assembly. He continued by saying that he would also let PTI’s Haleem Adil Shaikh, the opposition leader in the Sindh Assembly, know about the resignations that had been submitted to him.

He asserted that Khan would regain control of these seats whenever he desired. He claimed that the PTI MPAs won their assembly seats because they stood in for Khan.

The PTI gained 30 seats in the Sindh Assembly in the 2018 general elections. Four of its members did, however, later switch over to the Pakistan Peoples Party.

Haleem Adil Sheikh, the leader of the opposition in the Sindh Assembly, confirmed the development.
