Marriyum Aurangzeb, the minister of information and broadcasting, stated on Sunday that Tasneem Haider had no relation with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
“Tasneem Haider is not a spokesman of PML-N London,” she said in a press statement, adding that no one should try to become the party’s spokesperson.
Marriyum commanded Tasneem Haider to present any evidence he might have regarding the murder of Arshad Sharif to the Joint Investigation Team. She claimed that the PTI London chapter’s organiser was the one who made the accusations in the video clip that was making the rounds in various media outlets.
“Forgery, lies, and fake news cannot divert attention from the real killers of Arshad Sharif,” Marriyum stressed.
She claimed that because their management had previously received fines for similar mishaps, they would not dare to broadcast fake news in London. She added that if Haider had any proof of Arshad Sharif’s murder, he should present it to the forum of the joint investigation team. “No one should try to become [the] party spokesperson by force,” she said.
