Mathew hayden: ”You are about to see something very special from babar’

The coach of the Pakistani squad, Matthew Hayden, has thrown his support behind the team’s out-of-sorts captain Babar Azam and warned the opposition teams that they are going to watch a very special knock from the captain of Pakistan in the T20 World Cup’s last round.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, a former Australian cricketer backed Pakistan’s opening pair, Babar and Mohammad Rizwan, to recover from the slump, saying that such special players do not stay down for long ahead of tomorrow’s first semifinal between the Green Shirts and New Zealand at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Hayden backed up both of the openers and made a comparison between their situation and Adam Gilchrist’s during the 2007 ODI World Cup.

“We all know that after a calm in the weather, a storm will usually follow. So be on the lookout, rest of the world, because I believe Babar is about to show you something extremely extraordinary.

It is important to note that No. 4 T20I batter Babar struggled with the bat in the current mega event, as he was dismissed for fewer than ten runs four out of five times and has scored just 39 runs altogether.
