King Charles will break with Queen’s Tradition

According to the UK’s Daily Express, the British royal family will deviate from the Queen’s royal tradition for Remembrance Day.

On Remembrance Sunday later this month, Charles would use a different wreath to remember those who lost their lives in combat. Alongside him, the Queen Consort, the Prince and Princess of Wales, and others have had the opportunity to make their own wreaths for the first time.
According to The Telegraph, the King will wear a poppy wreath decorated with a broad ribbon bearing his racing colours.

Although Camilla had her own wreath made and it has the King’s colours of purple, red, and gold, she has chosen not to personally place it at the Cenotaph.

The Queen Consort’s wreath will have her own family’s racing colours and will be laid by an equerry while she stands on the balcony of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office building.

This decision follows that of the Queen Mother who chose to watch the ceremony from the balcony.
