T20 World Cup: Babar Azam’s speech boosted players’ Confidence, Says Iftikhar

Iftikhar Ahmed, an all-rounder for Pakistan, stated on Wednesday that the team’s Confidence is going up into their second T20 World Cup game, Special thanks to the post-game motivational speech given by captain Babar Azam and the coaching staff following the team’s loss to India.

Thursday in Perth will see Pakistan’s next match against Zimbabwe.

They are an international team as well, and we will treat them like any other international squad, giving them everything we have, he said.

Despite Iftikhar’s fifty against India on Sunday, Pakistan lost the thrilling match on the very last ball. The all-rounder noted that losing a match always pains you when discussing the encounter against India.

The way Babar Azam addressed the team after the game, he said, “lifted everyone’s confidence, and we are looking forward to the next game. When you lose a match, you’re obviously hurt.

The all-rounder was asked about his game, and he responded that regardless of how many balls he faces, he always tries to play his job and help the team succeed.

Everyone in the middle order is motivated and hungry to score runs for the team, he said, adding that regardless of whether it takes one ball or ten, we all play for the team and try to make our team win games.

Iftikhar stated that he is putting a lot of effort into developing his sweep shots and reverse sweep shots because he thinks they will be useful in Australian conditions.

Iftikhar responded when questioned about his critics that he views them favourably. There is nothing I can say to convey a message to them.

He asserted that each player bats in a unique way and that he cannot instruct others on how to bat.
When asked what advice he would give his teammates, he responded, “Everyone has their own style, own shoots, one can’t tell them what they’ve got to adopt.”
