When the two arch-rivals faced off in the T20 World Cup on Sunday, cricket fans were thrilled to watch a nail-biting Pakistan vs. India match, however, during the game, one Indian fan died due to heart arrest.

According to the authorities, Bitu Gogoi and his friends went to a theatre to watch the match being streamed live from Assam, India.

The 34-year-old fell while watching the match and was soon taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The doctors claim that Gogoi’s heart arrest was caused by the audience’s loud noises inside the theatre. An autopsy has been requested for the man’s body.

An investigation into the incident has been opened by the police.

According to the deceased’s relatives, Gogoi was in perfect health and had no known medical conditions.
