Islam rejects Sectarianism, extremism, & terrorism in all forms & manifestations, says Ashrafi

Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, the Prime Minister’s Special Representative for Interfaith Harmony and the Middle East, stated in ISLAMABAD that Islam rejects sectarianism, extremism, and terrorism in all of its manifestations.

Addressing the “International Tahzeem-e-Harmain Al-Sharifain Conference” in Abuja, Nigeria, he argued that in order to eliminate these societal problems, it was necessary to propagate the message of Islam as it had been taught to Muslims in Makkah and Madinah.

Such falsehoods have no place in Islam, according to Ashrafi, who is also the chairman of the Pakistan Ulema Council and the secretary general of the international Tahzeem-e-Harmain Al-Sharifain Council. Islam is a religion of peace, security, and moderation.

He stated that the unrest in some Islamic nations was the result of outside interference and that it could be addressed by creating unity within the Muslim Ummah.

He claimed that the union will aid in containing Islamophobia and resolving the problems the Muslim Ummah is currently facing on a worldwide scale.

Furthermore, Ashrafi praised Saudi Arabia’s stance on the oil issue and stated that Pakistan and the entire Islamic world supported its justification for the stability of the international economy.

According to Ashrafi, the entire Muslim Ummah made it abundantly apparent that they would make no concessions regarding the safety, purity, and stability of the ground at Harmain Al-Sharifain.

The PM’s assistant added that the two most pressing issues facing the Muslim Ummah were those of Palestine and Kashmir and that they should be settled in accordance with the wishes of Palestinians and Kashmiris, respectively.

Interfaith dialogue, he maintained, was also urgently needed, and he mentioned that Pakistan had created a statement called “Paigham-e-Pakistan” (Message of Pakistan) to combat terrorism, extremism, and sectarianism.

He referred to Harmain Al-Sharifain as the heart of the Muslim Ummah and praised Saudi Arabia for the way it supports humanity.

Leading ulemas were not the only speakers at the conference; Mashaykh and religious experts from all over the Islamic world also spoke, including Drs. Ibrahim Jamia Otoyo, Dawood Abdul Baqi Muhammad, Imam Issa Abdul Kareem, Sulaiman Usman, Muhammad Abdullah Al-Thani, Sharafuddin Badibur Aji, Muhammad Munir Ilyas, Muhammad Al-Haaj Abu Bakr.
