PDM leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman asked that president Arif Alvi step down after President Arif Alvi’s required speech to the parliament, which was only attended by 15 legislators.
The leader of JUI-F declared on Twitter that the President lacks the legitimacy to hold the position after his party members abstained from his speech during the joint session of parliament.
Arif Alvi was referred to as a constitutional offender by Fazlur Rehman, who also claimed that a lawmaker from his party boycotted his speech at the start of the legislative year.
So, he tweeted, “Alvi has no right to stay in the position and should resign right away.”
