China Expressed interest in importing donkeys and dogs from Pakistan

The Senate Standing Committee on Commerce was informed by the Ministry of Commerce on Monday that China has shown interest in importing donkeys and dogs from Pakistan.

Details indicate that Zeeshan Khanzada served as the head of the Senate Standing Committee on Commerce’s meeting in Islamabad, which was conducted to get an update on imports and exports.

Dinesh Kumar, a standing committee member, stated during the meeting that China is requesting Pakistan supply donkeys in addition to dogs.

Senator Abdul Qadir responded that the Chinese envoy had already brought up the idea of Pakistan selling meat.

In order to generate foreign currency, the Punjab government established a farm in the Okara area last year.

The farm is reportedly the first government-owned facility in the region to raise superior breeds of donkeys, including American donkeys, for export to China and other nations.

Bahadurnagar Farm, which spans 3,000 acres, is where the donkey farm was established.

Fast-changing economic trends are bringing about a transformation in rural areas, according to Dr. Mansoor Mubeen, manager of the Bahadurnagar Farm. He believed that the project will provide a means of life for local breeders.
