LHC to hear Maryam Nawaz’s plea for return of her passport Today

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Maryam Nawaz’s plea for the return of her passport will be heard by the Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday.

The case will be heard by a three-person LHC panel under the direction of Chief Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti. In the hearing taking place today, Maryam Nawaz’s lawyer will speak before the court.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), in the meantime, has already submitted its response to the issue.

In a response provided on September 27, the NAB stated that it has no issues with Maryam Nawaz, vice president of the PML-N, receiving her passport back.

The NAB stated in a written response given to the LHC that they have no issues with the PML-N leader receiving back his passport and that the accused are currently facing criminal charges.
