Details indicate that thousands of protesting farmers resumed their sit-in at the Red Zone’s edge in Islamabad for a second day in order to get their demands met.
After arriving at Jinnah Avenue, the farmers were marched to the Red Zone’s D-Chowk to demand their demands be met. Meanwhile, because of the sit-in, there were significant traffic snarls on Express Road and the nearby highways.
The farmers demanded that all taxes and modifications be eliminated as well as the return of the original tubewell power rate of Rs5.3 per unit.
The demonstrators requested that urea levels be lowered and that fertiliser illicit marketing be stopped. They likewise requested that agriculture be granted the same status as industries.
The Kissan Ittehad has threatened to stage a sit-in at D-Chowk if the demands are not met as part of their promise to continue the protest.
The farmers won’t be permitted entry into the Red Zone, according to a statement from the police, because the protesters may be carrying batons or other weapons.
The police stated that the protestors were now resolved to march towards D-Chowk after the representatives of the protesting farmers had promised to launch a sit-in in F-9.

He added that steps would be taken to disperse the demonstrators by the police and the administration.
