Due to the British crisis, Prince William will skip his Prince of Wales investiture ceremony

As the new Prince of Wales, Prince William is apparently forgoing the concept of a lavish investiture ceremony, a royal expert recently told GB News.

Cameron Walker, a royal correspondent, said that Prince William is unlikely to hold a large ceremony to celebrate his new title, in contrast to his father’s investiture, which resembled a “mini coronation,” when speaking about William inheriting the special title from his father, the new King Charles III.

“It is known that no type of investiture for the next Prince of Wales is planned. We are all familiar with the photographs from 1969; didn’t they nearly suggest a little coronation? Walker stated.

He continued: “In a cost-of-living crisis, it was perhaps seen by those in Kensington Palace and Prince William himself that it would be a bit inappropriate for a big, grand investiture at such a difficult time for so many families across the country.”

King Charles, on the other hand, received the title of Prince of Wales in 1969 during a ceremony that also saw Queen Elizabeth place a coronet on his head and royal robes on his shoulders.

Additionally, he swore fealty to his mother, saying: “I, Charles, Prince of Wales do become your liege man of life and limb.”
