Police purchases 40,000 tear gas shells worth 75 million ahead PTI long March

According to sources cited by ARY News on Monday, Islamabad police spent Rs75 million on 40,000 teargas shells in preparation for the approaching Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march.

According to sources, Islamabad police bought 40,000 tear gas shells to prevent PTI protesters from moving closer to the federal capital. Police headquarters can store 15,000 tear gas shells, according to sources.

It was discovered that the police department had purchased a fresh supply of teargas shells, including 75-meter short-range and 150-meter long-range versions, for Rs75 million plus an advance payment. The stock supply will be finished in stages.

It should be noted that during the PTI’s long march on May 25, the federal capital police fired 8,000 tear gas shells in one day.

Imran Khan, a former prime minister and the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), warned Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah that he would enter the capital with “full preparations” this time around and urged his supporters to get ready for the upcoming march toward Islamabad in support of real independence on September 24.

Imran Khan announced that he would be calling on his supporters shortly to help the nation escape the mire.

As a result of our lack of preparation on May 25, Rana Sanaullah deployed heavy teargas shelling against PTI women and children, the man claimed, adding that the minister won’t have a place to hide this time.

He asked PTI members and youth groups to get ready for the impending march for “real independence.”
