Islamabad: There have been 68 dengue infections in Islamabad in the last 24 hours, increasing the city’s dengue case count.
As many as 68 dengue cases were reported in the federal capital during the course of the last day, according to District Health Officer (DHO) Islamabad, bringing the season’s total number of infections to 1,991.
Six patients have died this year due to the dengue virus, according to the DHO. In the last 24 hours, no deaths were reported.
Following recent floods brought on by torrential rains during monsoon season, thousands of individuals across the nation have been impacted by the dengue virus outbreak.
More than 33 million people have been displaced in Pakistan since mid-June by the worst floods in a decade. According to the National Disaster Management Authority, more than 1,500 people have died and more than 12,800 have been hurt.
