Islamabad Facing Sharp increase in the number of dengue fever cases

In Islamabad, there has been a sharp increase in the number of dengue fever cases, with 49 more people diagnosed in the last 24 hours.

According to District Health Office (DHO) statistics, 49 dengue cases were reported in the federal capital, bringing the total number of confirmed infections to 422.

Dr. Zaeem Zia, District Health Officer (DHO), reported that four patients were admitted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), eight to the Federal General Hospital, seven to Holy Family Hospital, and three to BBH Rawalpindi.

Almost 27 dengue cases were reported from private laboratories in Islamabad in the last 24 hours, according to Dr Zaeem. Meanwhile, one person has died from the virus this season.
