Pakistan finally defeated Afghanistan in a thrilling and very stunning second Asia Super Cup match at Sharjah Stadium on Wednesday. Pakistan has snatched this match from Afghanistan by achieving the target in the last over that too after losing nine wickets. It was an unbelievable victory for Pakistan. In the last over, Pakistani batsman Naseem Shah hit two sixes, throwing the ball out of the boundary twice and snatched this match from Afghanistan.
In the last over, Pakistan needed 11 runs with just one wicket in hand and Naseem Shah did a wonderful batting and hit two sixes on two consecutive balls, emerging a hero of today’s match. Without Naseem Shah’s aggressive batting, Pakistan could have lost this match to Afghanistan.
Naseem Shahโs clutch sixes on back-to-back balls of the final over helped Pakistan defeat Afghanistan by one wicket in their Super Four match of the Asia Cup 2022 on Wednesday.
Heading into the final over, Pakistan needed 11 runs with just a wicket in hand. However, the 19-year-old Naseem Shah, who came in to bat at number 10 when all have lost the hope of winning the match, turned the match on its head.
As Fazalhaq Farooqi went searching for yorkers but only found full tosses, Naseem took full advantage and dispatched both over the boundary line for maximums, triggering a sequence of wild celebrations worthy of winning the entire tournament.
The youngsterโs heroics were required after a batting collapse saw Pakistan go from 87-3 to 118-9, losing six wickets for just 31 runs. Among their many batting failures was their captain Babar Azam, who failed for the fourth straight match in Asia Cup.
Earlier, Pakistan lost three wickets very quickly for 45 runs in 8.3 overs against Afghanistan in the second match of Asia Super Cup played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, which landed the team into trouble making easy target of 130 runs a difficult task. Pakistan side lost more wickets, making the target difficult.

Pakistan won the toss and gave batting to Afghanistan in the second match of Asia Cup Super Four round at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
In first match of Super Four, Pakistan defeated India by five wickets in the Super Four Fixture.
