Apple has promised aid to the relief and recovery operations in Pakistan, where millions have been impacted by recent floods caused by unseasonal rains.
Apple CEO Tim Cook tweeted the company’s donation to local relief and recovery efforts. Devastating humanitarian disasters have been caused by the recent flooding in Pakistan and the adjacent territories. Those who have lost loved ones, the countless families who have been displaced, and everyone who has been touched by this tragedy are in our prayers. In a letter to employees, Cook announced that Apple would contribute to local relief and recovery efforts.
Malala Yousafzai, the youngest person to ever win the Nobel Peace Prize, thanked Apple’s CEO for his help. She thanked “Tim” of Apple and the company for its contribution to Pakistan throughout the crisis.
Also appreciative of Cook’s assistance, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal called on the G-7, OCED, and the Fortune 100 to aid Pakistan in its fight against the disaster.

Iqbal lamented that despite having the lowest carbon emissions, Pakistan bore the brunt of global warming, with 33 million people being forced to relocate through no fault of their own. “G-7, OECD, and Fortune100 must realise their role & contribute in fighting the tragedy,” the minister stressed.
