On the eve of Independence Day, aerial firing caused 31 injuries in Karachi

Initially, the majority of the injured were taken to private hospitals. After receiving first aid, they were taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, and Dr. Ruth KM Pfau Civil Hospital so that the police surgeon could write the report that was required for legal requirements.

The city echoed with gunshots on Saturday night at midnight in honour of Independence Day. The police, who had earlier claimed to make the town as a haven of peace, utterly failed to put an end to the violent crimes and shootings that were occurring all throughout the city.

In Phase II of the DHA, next to Rahat Malik Shop, a woman was hurt by aerial gunfire and taken to the JPMC for treatment. Shazia, 35, the victim, was named.

Imdad, 40, who was struck by a stray bullet near Mahmoodabad inside the boundaries of Tipu Sultan police station is one of the injured. Ayaz Ahmed, 35, was wounded in Nazimabad by stray bullets, while Afhsan was hurt in Chakiwara, Ayesha, 15, was hurt at the Mola Madad Bus Stop in the Chakiwara neighbourhood of Lyari, and Hidayat, 48, was wounded in Sher Shah.
