State Bank of Pakistan reveals Rs75 commemorative banknote

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Sunday released Rs. 75 commemorative banknotes to mark the nation’s 75th anniversary of independence. The note featured the portraits of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Iqbal, Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, as well as the nation’s commitment to combating climate change.

The green and white currency note have yellow undertones; according to the SBP, the green note symbolises growth and development and draws inspiration from the nation’s Islamic identity, while the white note highlights the religious plurality of the populace.

Like previous currency notes, the Rs. 75 commemorative note has security measures. These include, among other things, the micro-lettering of “SBP” and “75,” PureImage security thread with pulsating holographic rainbow effect, and the Urdu number “75,” which appears complete when the note is held up to the light.

Additionally, the images and numerals on the note have raised printing, making it possible for blind people to recognise the money.
