PTI supporter insists that she is Pakistani and has contributed to party “honestly”

On the contrary, according to the PTI, the so-called “undeclared accounts” were actually “subsidiary accounts.”

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was found guilty of accepting “prohibited donations” by Pakistan’s Election Commission (ECP), and contributor Beenish Faridi expressed his displeasure with the “outrageous” decision on Wednesday.

Her identity was included on social media lists of foreign donors, Beenish Faridi said via a video message that she had made a donation to PTI’s online official account prior to the 2013 elections, and that she saw her name on the list.

When questioned about her claims to be “patriotic Pakistani,” she stated that she has spent at least 20 to 22 years living in Britain.

“We understand Pakistan’s agony, we love Pakistan,” she remarked. “I am Pakistani, I was born in Pakistan.” To date, the 16 party accounts that were found to be unlawful and unregistered in a ruling by the independent people are being defended by senior PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry.

Before the elections, “subsidiary accounts” had been formed in the names of party leaders, according to Chaudhry, who said so in a press conference.

According to the “accounting principle –that accountants follow, is that they don’t do double counting,” he added, adding that the 16 accounts were in fact subsidiary and if they had been included in them, “it would double the count”.
