On Thursday, PTI officials blasted Haleem Adil Sheikh’s detention, saying it was part of a “system of injustice” carried out by the “so-called democratic administration.”
Sheikh was hauled into custody yesterday by agents from the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) in Jamshoro in connection with a real estate deal in Malir.
After his capture, he was transferred to the Aziz Bhatti police station in Karachi. In a tweet he posted today, Asad Umar, the secretary general of the PTI, referred to the government as the “worst tyrants possible.”

‘The system of injustice perpetuated by them is collapsing, and it is only a matter of time before the strength of the people brings this system to an end,’ he continued.
Fawad Chaudhry, a former minister, claimed that the actions of the Sindh government painted a “clear picture” of fascism in which journalists who reported the truth were assassinated.
On Twitter, he complained that “the average man’s life is wretched” while the administration of other provinces was being built and dismantled using money from the state of Sindh.
The arrest of Sheikh was characterized as “indolence” on the part of the Sindh province government by former governor Imran Ismail. Saying that Haleem Adil’s repeated arrests proved that Sindh’s leaders were “scared,” he called the opposition leader the “valiant soldier” of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
