After PTI’s chances increased for his candidate to be elected as Chief of Punjab following his election victory, Home Secretary Rana Sanaullah said PML-N will not let PML-Q’s Chaudhry Pervez Elahi return. became the chief executive officer of the province easily on July 22.
The minister made the statement while speaking on Geo News Aaj Shahzeb Khanzada Kay Sath on Monday night. He said the Punjab by-election defeat was a temporary loss that PML-N will recover in the upcoming elections.
“These 20 seats belong to PTI, 5 of which have been claimed by PML-N. We will lead with a two-thirds majority when PML-N and PTI go head to head,” said Sanaullah.
He said the person behind Elahi had nothing to do with winning or losing.
Sanaullah went on to say that Pakistan will face a similar situation as Sri Lanka if the coalition government hands the country over to the government’s care.
He said the coalition parties made the right decision to issue a motion of no confidence against Imran Khan and take the reins of the country.
