ISLAMABAD: The number of coronavirus infections in Pakistan has risen to 1.22%, according to statistics released Thursday by the National Institute of Health, Islamabad (NIH).
After 11,828 diagnostic tests were performed on a single day, the NIH determined that 144 persons were infected with COVID-19.
A patient died in the past 24 hours because of the infection.
According to the National Institute of Health, Pakistan saw its first COVID-19 death-free week in two years during the first week of April.
It was officially reported on March 31st that Pakistan was closing its National Command and Operation Centre, which had been established after the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 in order to gather and analyse information on the outbreak of the virus.
