The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has approved various projects to improve water and supply in the capital territory.

Rs.495 million earmarked by CDA for repairing and maintenance of means for water supply

Approximately PKR 495 million have been earmarked for several projects that include repair and maintenance of water pipelines, tube wells, tankers as well as replacement and installation of pipelines.

In October, CDA also took control of four directorates of the Metropolitan Corporation of Islamabad (MCI) – environment, sanitation, water, and engineering along with the Machinery Pool Organization, streetlights, and market roads.

In this regard, the chairman CDA assured that all possible efforts will be made to ensure drinking water after repairing, restoring, and replacing water supply pipelines and tube wells.
