ISLAMABAD: PM Shehbaz Sharif expressed solidarity with the people of Afghanistan and said Pakistan was delivering emergency relief goods to those affected by severe flooding.
In a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif vowed to help the Afghan people in this difficult time.

Shehbaz Sharif, Pakistan’s prime minister, expressed his heartfelt condolences to the families of those killed by floods in 10 provinces.
In the wake of the devastating floods, he pleaded with the international community to come forward and help the Afghan people.
Through the Afghan Humanitarian Trust Forum, he asked the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to step up its efforts to help those in Afghanistan who have been affected by this conflict.
As Shehbaz Sharif pointed out, floods in Afghanistan could exacerbate the country’s already dire humanitarian situation.
The number of casualties could rise if we did not do something quickly enough, he warned.
To support the Afghan people, the international world, notably the United Nations, should begin a humanitarian aid programme that provides food, medical aid and housing to those who have been displaced by the conflict.
A prayer for the families whose loved ones were killed by floods was prayed for by the prime minister.
