ISPR has announced National Amateur Short Film Festival (NASFF) to provide an opportunity to the skillful Pakistani youth for producing excellent short films highlighting the positive image of Pakistan.
This is expected to be first of its kind national festival where the artistic and creative youth will focus on re-imagining Pakistan and produce high-quality short films. The finale of the festival is planned to be carried out in April 2021.
The objectives of the festival are to align perceptions with reality, involve amateur youth, seek genuine and creative talent, amplify social media platforms, learn web production, and capacity building of emerging filmmakers in Pakistan.
The registration is free with a deadline of 1st Jan 2021 and submission of projects till 10th March 2021.
The festival has already published its guidelines and procedures to execute the festival in a befitting manner i.e. the entries must be original, duration of the film, and language. The festival has also shortlisted themes for the entries with explained premise and context. It includes showcasing the colors of Pakistan, the Indus identity, Pakistan’s culture, empowerment through SME’s, philanthropy in Pakistan, and Agri-products of Pakistan.
The Jury has also been decided along with honors and awards in various categories. Furthermore, the high achieving candidates in the competition will be granted scholarships to study in the World’s top-rated Film schools.
