staying safe this Christmas amidst soaring COVID-19 cases

A government organization set up to tackle the COVID-19, National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC), has sent out directives on ways to be adopted by citizens in order to stay safe this Christmas.

As per the statement by the NCOC, there should be minimum travel during the Christmas holidays and the shopping should be kept limited to imperative things.

The NCOC has indicated great worry regarding the practice of gifts exchange as it could also help the virus spread rapidly.

During the second wave of coronavirus, indoor gatherings on large scale should be abstained from.

Thermal scanning for the visitors and availability of hand sanitizers should be mandatory at the church doors.

Handshakes need to be avoided, people without face masks should not be allowed in the churches, and chlorinated water should be used to wash benches or sitting areas on daily basis.

NCOC has further instructed that those who are ill, elderly, and kids under the age of 15 must be avoided to be taken to church prayers.
