ISLAMABAD: Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Foreign Minister Pakistan, had a telephonic conversation with Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov of Uzbekistan on Thursday to discuss bilateral ties and the deepening of cooperation in a wide range of areas.
There are historical linkages between the two countries, as well as religious and cultural affinity, as per Pakistan’s Foreign Minister.
Pakistan and Uzbekistan’s foreign ministers reaffirmed their intention to strengthen ties between the two countries.
Imran Khan’s meeting with Uzbekistan’s President on the occasion of the opening of the Winter Olympics in Beijing was a high point for Qureshi, who was pleased with the development of high-level ties between the two nations.
At international and regional forums, the ministers committed to strengthening bilateral collaboration between their nations.
