WASHINGTON: The USA Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) classified Pakistan as a low-risk country for Covid-19 infection.
According to the most recent report from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Pakistan has been classified as level-1, the lowest risk category for contracting the Corona Virus. Countries like India have a high probability (level-3) of contracting Covid-19. At level-2, Bangladesh is at moderate risk of infection from the COVID-29 virus.
A slew of countries are in level 4, the most vulnerable to disease transmission. This includes China, Brazil, Anguilla, Kosovo, Mexico and a dozen others.
Over 5.74 million people have died worldwide because of the epidemic. The United States has been hit hard, losing 901,000 people in the past two years.
In addition, the CDC has issued a travel advisory for Americans who plan to visit Pakistan despite the COVID-19 outbreak. American citizens are advised to “check that they are up to date on their COVID-19 immunizations” before visiting Pakistan, as per the advisory.
Despite having had your COVID-19 vaccinations, people may still be in danger of contracting and transmitting the virus, according to the CDC warning. Masks should be worn by anybody above the age of 2 in public places, and they should be well fitted.
Visitors are also cautioned to adhere strictly to all rules, and regulations set by the authorities in charge.
The United States has given COVID-19 vaccinations to Pakistan in large quantities. The United States has already supplied 47.3 million immunizations to Pakistan, including the 4.7 million Pfizer vaccines that landed last weekend.
China is another significant source of vaccinations for Pakistan. Over 180 million individuals have been vaccinated in Pakistan previously. Health officials throughout the world are advising people to get vaccinated as the Omicron strain spreads.
