7,539 New COVID-19 Cases in Pakistan, With 25 More Deaths

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Jan. 27 — The National Command and Operation Centre in Pakistan reported 7,539 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.

According to the centre in charge of Pakistan’s pandemic response, the country’s total number of confirmed cases has grown to 1,393,887.

Over the last 24 hours, another 25 people have died because of COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths to 29,162, with 1,240 patients in critical condition.
During that time, 1,784 people recovered from COVID-19, increasing the overall number of COVID-19 recoveries to 1,272,871, according to the centre.

With 533,496 infections, the southern Sindh province is the worst-affected region in the pandemic, followed by the eastern Punjab province with 469,540 cases.
