Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar confirmed the death of his mother, Aruna Bhatia on his Twitter handle. The actor in an emotional tribute wrote that “ she was my core.”
She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti 🙏🏻

Aruna Bhatia was keeping unwell since the last few days and was hospitalized in the ICU. Akshay, who was shooting in London, had rushed back to Mumbai as soon as he got to know about his mother’s deteriorating health condition. He had also taken to Twitter last evening to thank everyone for their concern and urged everyone to keep praying for his mother.
The actor had to fly back from the UK on Monday after hearing the unfortunate news. Akshay had been shooting for his upcoming thriller movie Cinderella abroad.
