Pakistan carried out a powerful airstrike on Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan. The strike destroyed an aircraft hangar and two warehouse facilities. Afghan officials and The New York Times confirmed the strike. Pakistan executed the operation under Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq. Satellite images show the damage and highlight Pakistanโs precision targeting.
Defence experts said this operation shows that the Pakistani army can attack deep into the Afghan interior if needed. The operation targeted the โFitna al-Khawarijโ group, which various United Nations reports have featured. Over the past week, the Pakistani army carried out more than 50 operations targeting the Taliban and other militants. These operations sent a strong message to the militants.
Operations Expand Across Balochistan
The Pakistani army also increased operations in the Balochistan region. They targeted 50 militant hideouts belonging to the Afghan Taliban, โFitna al-Khawarij,โ and โFitna al-Hindustan.โ The army conducted these operations overnight on the 3rd and 4th of March using heavy artillery. They focused on the areas of Qila Saifullah, Chaman, Sambaza, Ghudwana, Jani, and Ghaznali.
Strengthened Border Security
The Pakistani army successfully repelled an infiltration attempt near the Torkham border. The operation eliminated the Taliban commander, Qeharmaan, and his associates. Military leaders said this operation shows the armyโs commitment to the countryโs security and its swift response to militant threats.
Leaders emphasized that the army will continue operations until they achieve all security objectives.
