US President Donald Trump has declared that Iran’s military command structure has been “completely eliminated” during ongoing American and Israeli operations. He warned Iranian forces to surrender or “face death,” emphasizing the severity of the campaign.
Targeted Strikes on Iranian Assets
Trump stated that US-Israeli forces focused on strategic Iranian assets, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), air defence systems, and a naval building. Additionally, nine Iranian naval vessels were reportedly destroyed.
He added that the operations would continue until all objectives were met. The president insisted that those within Iran’s military seeking to surrender could receive immunity. However, those who resisted would “face death.”
Acknowledging US Casualties
Referring to Iranian strikes on American forces, Trump confirmed three US service members had been killed. He warned that further American casualties were possible, while pledging to avenge the deaths.
Conflict Duration and Casualties
In a separate discussion, Trump indicated the conflict could last up to four weeks, though it might end sooner. He claimed that 48 key Iranian figures had been killed so far. Moreover, hundreds of targets across Iran had been struck in the ongoing campaign.

Trump emphasized that Iran would not be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. He said he had consulted leaders in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Jordan regarding the crisis. He also expressed hope that democracy might be established in Iran after the conflict.
Despite the threat of further escalation, Trump remained open to negotiations with Iran’s new leadership. However, he cautioned that talks might not occur immediately.

Following the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iranian authorities activated constitutional mechanisms to appoint a successor. A temporary leadership council assumed authority to maintain governance continuity.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran is ready to engage in talks with Washington. Yet, he emphasized that continued US bombardment had not weakened Iran’s military capabilities.
Iranian officials described Khamenei’s death as martyrdom, warning that the situation could grow even more dangerous. Despite air strikes on Tehran and other cities, the country’s leadership vowed retaliation and asserted that Iran’s governing structure remains functional.
