ISLAMABAD: The official YouTube channel of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf aired live the travel of PTI’s founder Imran Khan from Adiala Jail to PIMS Hospital in Islamabad.
The video shows a strict protocol of Imran Khan and security vehicles on the route from Adiala Jail to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences. The time of shifting Imran Khan from prison to the hospital is late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, before dawn.
The vehicle recording video of the transportation of Imran Khan and the surroundings is done in a luxury vehicle, a protocol vehicle, probably a Land Cruiser or a similar car, as per the video recording.
How was the video of Khan’s shifting from Adiala to PIMS recorded, and who did it? It is yet not clear. But one thing is clear, it has been done with the approval of the authorities.
Imran Khan’s specialized treatment at PIMS
Former Prime Minister and founder of PTI Imran Khan received the specialized eye procedure at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad. Khan got treatment under high-level medical board supervision.
The Executive Director of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) stated that the medical team advanced the follow-up procedure to Tuesday, although officials had earlier indicated February 25 as the tentative date.
However, doctors decided to proceed earlier in consultation with the relevant authorities.
Medical board administers an anti-VEGF injection
A high-level medical board supervised the procedure and administered the second dose of an anti-VEGF injection to Imran Khan. Doctors use this treatment to manage retinal conditions and prevent potential vision loss. The medical team performed the injection in a dedicated operating theatre equipped with advanced microscopy, while an expert surgeon led the procedure.
Procedure follows strict medical protocol
Hospital authorities emphasized that the team conducted the procedure with the former premier’s explicit consent and in line with strict medical guidelines. After completing the treatment, doctors discharged him with specific medical advice for recovery.
Tariq Fazal Chaudhry of PML(N) stated that the movement of such hospital visits occur strictly as per the advice of the Adiala Jail doctors.
