MURREE: The Punjab government has announced a plan to develop Kotli Sattian into an attractive, largest tourist resort near Murree. Kotli Sattian lies between Murree and Kahuta and is an ideal location for promoting tourism. It will be the largest tourism project in the Murree region.
According to the Punjab government, a glass bridge, a paragliding center, a chairlift, modern hotels, motels, and shops.
The provincial government has allocated billions of rupees for the largest tourist project. Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz has taken a keen interest in this project. She wants the project to be completed as early as possible to promote regional beauty and tourism.
Kotli Sattian hosts evergreen hills with its gentle & steep slopes, the cool, fresh fountains, the singing streams, the winding roads & paths that wind through the lively pine woods & the bracing climate beckon the wanderer to this hilly area.
Meanwhile, tourists choose a loop route instead of returning through Lehtrar and drive toward Karor, a village between Murree and Kotli Sattian. Along the way, the tourists stop at Darnoyan, where a Burj monument honours local men who fought in World War I. The plaque records that 106 men joined the war and 15 never returned.
After completion of the project, Kotli Sattian will emerge as an attractive resort for thousands of tourists who love to explore the nature in Murree and its adjoining areas.
