ISLAMABAD: Authorities have issued revised working hours for passport offices across Pakistan to facilitate citizens during Ramadan 2026. According to an official notification, Regional Passport Offices, Executive Passport Offices and Passport Processing Counters will follow adjusted public dealing hours while maintaining regular administrative schedules.
From Monday to Thursday, officials will issue tokens and provide public services from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. However, overall office operations will continue from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. On Fridays, public dealing and token issuance will run from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM, whereas offices will remain open until 4:30 PM. Additionally, authorities have scheduled a daily prayer break from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
The notification clarified that the revised Ramadan timings will not apply to selected high-capacity facilities operating under NADRA Mega Centers, which will continue to follow their existing schedules.
Updated passport fees for multiple categories
Meanwhile, officials also shared updated passport fee details for different categories. For a 36-page passport, applicants will pay Rs. 4,500 for five-year normal processing and Rs. 6,700 for 10 years. Urgent processing will cost Rs. 7,500 for five years and Rs. 11,200 for 10 years.
For a 72-page passport, normal fees stand at Rs. 8,200 for five years and Rs. 12,400 for 10 years. Urgent charges increase to Rs. 13,500 and Rs. 20,200 respectively.
Similarly, a 100-page passport will cost Rs. 9,000 for five-year normal service and Rs. 13,500 for 10 years. Applicants seeking urgent processing will pay Rs. 18,000 for five years and Rs. 27,000 for 10 years.
